How do you dance with someone who is gone?
Can you bring them back through a dance?
Can their absence bring you back to yourself?
How do we overcome loss? The loss of someone close to us? Or the loss of an ideal? Or vision for the future?
In LAST DANCE, Tereza Ondrová returns to her opening solo from Call Alice to revisit a loss from the pandemic. In this one-time-only solo, set in a dance hall where we dance as many, Ondrová will dance as one. She will dance to recover and to discover how loss can be transformed.
By revisiting and working with materials from the past, Temporary Collective works with the concept of degrowth – creating from one source – or upcycling. We attempt to rethink our working methods and focus on themes of sustainability on a personal, professional and environmental level.
