School, work, family, retirement — a linear script not only for our lives but for art itself: debut at thirty, peak at forty, retreat at sixty. However, real creative journeys are far more diverse — they slow down, circle back, branch out. Temporary Collective, led by Tereza Ondrová and Petra Tejnorová, expresses its resistance to chrononormativity through the TEMPORARY YOUNG platform. With One Gesture, they embrace the principle of queer temporality — disrupting established order, rejecting the straight line, and opening a space for different rhythms.
TEMPORARY YOUNG gives young authors the opportunity to create free from the time pressure. Here, performance is not a climax but one of many gestures. One Gesture unfolds as a remix, a living collage: connecting fragments, movements, and words into shifting constellations, letting the work breathe in its own rhythm. Its inspirations range from music and iconic gestures to everyday surroundings and the visual language of emojis.
TEMPORARY YOUNG is more than a format — it stands as a manifesto of trust in the process and the ability to rediscover movement and identity, unbound by temporal pressure. Above all, it embodies radical tenderness, allowing the artistic body to breathe at its own rhythm. Art, after all, knows no single clock.
The first performance in the form of a work in progress will take place on December 16, 2025 at Palác Akropolis.
